President Trump abruptly criticized the president of the Federal Reserve, Jerome Powell, in Thorsday, intense his long dispute with the leader of the Central Bank by publishing a strongly won statement on social networks which said: “Powell’s termination cannot be quick enough!”
The president once again pointed out his frustration with the cautious approach of the Fed for the cuts of interest rates.
Trump’s anger was caused by the comments that Powell made on Wednesday, when the Fed president highlighted Conerns about the economic impact of administration’s rates.
Powell warned that tariffs were creating a “challenging scenario” for the Fed, which enhanced the double mandate of the Central Bank to maintain stable inflation and robust employment.


Powell emphasized the importance of patience in regards to the monetary policy of the Central Bank, noting that the Fed needed clearer signals regarding Trump’s commercial strategy before deciding on future fees adjustments.
His comments indicated a relatively high threshold for additional rates reductions, which underlines his caution posture on the matter.
