A Proud Republican Who Faced Off A Party Leader. . .and Won! – The Health Care Blog

Last week, Trump’s publication of himself when the Pope appeared once again in the classic column of David French Christmas, 2024, New York Times titled “Why are so many Christians so cruel?”

As I wrote at that time, “French and his wife and three children have experienced the cruelty firsthand since they openly expressed their opposition to the duration of Donald Trump, the 2016 presidential campaign. That resulted in threats to their family Enwite in the objective of the enwite family for which it is whose whose who is whose whose who is who is who is who is the one who is who is the one who is who is the one who is who is the one who is the one who is the one. Waspiy daughter.

Around last week, the American politicians of each stripe have discussed which exactly Trump’s reason was degrading while Pope Francis was being buried. Three main theories have emerged.

1. As a malignant narcissistic, Trump could not bear the fact that Pope Francis was stealing his attention center.

2. Trump was appealing to conservative Christian evangelicals who strongly oppose the papacy for theological reasons.

3. Trump was appealing to conservative Catholics as the New York Post Charles Gasparino columnist, who says: “… we respect Trump more than the socialist Pope.”

Of course, there are probably elements of truth in each thesis. But I prefer to resort to my training in the high school of New York City and I think this is the product of a boring and ingenious school patio stalker who thought this was fun.

This does not mean that you have the courage to claim the property. (Obviously, this is not published without its approach). No. He lies in the face, saying:

“I had nothing to do it, someone invented a photo of mine dressed as the Pope, and they took him on the Internet. That is not me who, I have no idea where he came from, maybe it was AI, but I have no idea where he came from.”

With his blessing, the image was published at 10:29 pm of May 2, 2025 in his social account of the truth.

David French probably sees complicit in the shadows.

As he explained in 2024. “It is remarkable how ambition becomes cruelty. In our self -deception, we persuade the unpleasant ones that we are not fair, but that we are so cleanly correct that the opposition and evil. Enemies.”

You can be right. But when it comes to Trump, I remember another thug and another hero. On June 1, 1950, a 53 -year -old republican senator from Maine amounted to the Senate’s floor to face Senator Joe McCarthy. Four months before, in Wheeling, WV, McCarthy, unleashed a populist in what claimed to be a conspiracy of “205 communists with cards in the State Department.”

What happened later is proudly remembered in the official historical records of the Senate as “a declaration of consciousness.” The story speaks directly to all those who allow Trump in the current era. He took four years (after this speech) to finally fight the United States or his threat. It remains to be seen who will emerge as our modern Margaret Chase Smith, and how long it will spend before riding this modern tyrant.

Here is the official account of the efforts of the Senate Chase that day, as registered by historians of the United States Senate:

‘Mister. President, “she was”, I would like to talk with letters and simply about a serious national condition … The United States Senate has long enjoyed world respect as the greatest deliberative body … but recently that deliberative character has … degraded to … a hate forum and characters murder. ‘In his 15 -minute speech, delivered as McCarthy Miraba, Smith supported the right of all Americans to criticize, protest and maintain unpopular beliefs. “Freedom of expression is not what used to be in the United States,” he complained. “It has been so abused by some who do not exercise it.” He asked his Republicans not to travel to political victory in the “four riders or slander: fear, ignorance, intolerance and smear.” At the end, Smith filed a statement signed by her and six other Republican senators, her “declaration of consciousness.” “

“Smith’s statement of consciousness did not end McCarthy’s power reign, but she was one of the first senators to take that position. He continued to oppose him, at great personal cost, for the next four years.
