Bill Belichick, North Carolina add new QB in spring transfer portal

Tar Heels, North North Carolina, led by Bill Belichick, made his first great spring splash on the transfer portal by adding the former South Alabama Campo Marshal, Gio López, to his field Marshal.

López announced on social networks that will go to Chapel Hill after taking southern Alabama to a 7-6 record in 2024 and launching for 2,559 yards with 18 TouchDown passes.

“Saying goodbye to southern Alabama is one of the most dispositions of my life. I am incredible grateful for my time here and for all who did such a special experience. López had entered the transfer portal earlier this week, ON3 informed, and moves to a field marshal room that includes senior graduate Max Johnson and Bryce Baker of four stars.
