A third senior Pentagon official has a license bone in the middle of an investigation into leaks in the Department of Defense.
The last power official involved in the investigation is Colin Carroll, head of the Cabinet of the Deputy Secretary of Defense Stephen Feinberg, multiple media outlets reported Wednesday.
Carroll’s suspension follows the elimination of Dan Caldwell, principal advisor to the Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseeth, and Darin Selnick, chief of cabinet of the head of the Pentagon, of his positions on Tuesday.
“We can confirm that Mr. Carroll, Mr. Caldwell and Mr. Selnick have been placed on administrative license pending an investigation,” said a defense official to the post.
Caldwell was put on administrative license for “an unauthorized dissemination,” said a Pentagon official on Tuesday.
Selnick had been under investigation in the same escape probe that involved Caldwell, according to the reports.
Both men were escorted from the pentagon for security.
The defense official on Wednesday would not say if Carroll’s suspension was related to the leakage probe.

The directive said that polygraph tests could be administered “in accordance with the law and application policy” as part of the search for leaks.
It is not clear if any of the suspended officials were subjected to a polygraph test.
A report is expected to include a “complete registration of unauthorized disseminations within the Department of Defense and recommendations to improve such efforts” to Hegseeth at the end of the investigation.
“I hope to be informed immediately if this effort results in information that identifies a response from the part for an unauthorized dissemination, and that such information will be sent to the appropriate criminal criminal entity for criminal prosecution,” Kaperper wrote.
It is not yet known, while any of the suspended people could face criminal charges.
The leaks under investigation include disseminations on operational plans for the Panama Canal, the movements of the carriers in the Red Sea, Elon Musk’s visit to the Pentagon last month and the March break on the exchange of intelligence with Ukraine, said an American official to Poloto.
