Kim Kardashian jewelry heist trial begins in Paris

A judgment on the Jeist of 2016 in which armed thieves tied The Kim Kardashian reality star in the bedroom and stole the value or jewelry of millions of dollars in Paris.

Ten people, nine men and one woman, are judged by charges of theft and kidnapping of the media personality and the janitor of the residence where the night of October 2, 2016 was staying. Two of them recognized their participation and the others denied it.

His lawyers said She will testify in person at the trialwith a provisional schedule that shows that it is expected to occur on May 13. The trial is scheduled for May 23.

“Mrs. Kardashian is a reserve of her testimony of the court and the jury and does not want to explain more at this time,” they said. “She has great respect and admiration for the French justice system and has been treated with great respect by the French authorities. He wants the trial to process in an orderly manner, in accordance with the French law and with respect to all parties.”

Twelve people were originally expected in the accused box. One of them died and another is seriously ill and cannot be judged. According to the investigation, five of the 10 defendants were present at the theft scene.

The “grandparents’ thieves”

The French press has called them the thieves of grandparents because the main defendants are older, mostly in their 60 and 70 years, and have bank thieves with long criminal records.

The DNA of two of the defendants was found in the scene, and have admitted to having participated in the theft.

Aomar Ait Khedache, now 69, was supposedly the intellectual author of the robbery.

Known as “Old Omar,” according to the reports, he told researchers that he had no idea who Kardashian was, but had heard a friend of a waiter about the incredible jewelry when he was having dinner in Paris.

When the thieves arrived at the Luxury Suites Hotel known only as “the direction of NO” in which the celebrity stayed during the Paris fashion week, they allegedly demanded that the guard, at the tip of the gun, direct them to “the wife of the rapper”, a reference to Herhus.

According to reports, “Old Omar” wrote to Kardashian in 2017, when he was in custody, to apologize. His lawyers said he wrote to apologize after hearing her talk about how traumatic experience had been.

He said he was unarmed and did not personally threaten Kardashian, but admitted that he shared the responsibility of the crime.

Abbas told reporters that the duration of the trial is apologized and that he will give details of his role in the robbery, but won denounce any other person.

The other defendant is suspended from providing information on Kardashian’s presence in the apartment. Others are accused of playing a role in the resale of jewels in Antwerp, Belgium.

The gangsters stole many pieces of jewels. Only one piece of jewelry has been recovered, a diamond cross in platinum that lost the suspects.

The suspects accused of stealing Kardashian will be tried by jury, who in France is reserved for the most serious crimes.
