Trump needs to close some deals to take the win on tariffs – or he’s handing them to Xi

President Donald Trump: Take the victory in rates.

Get some large commercial offers to your credit while they are on the table to serve economic objectives while building new or renewing the old alliances of the United States.

The interruption of the last two weeks will be worth it, even when it restores the belief of other countries that the United States is a good commercial partner. More agreements will surely follow shortly after.

That would be a much more powerful play than to simply make Uncle Sam collect the import tax cash, continuously to increase the bond market and alienate our traditional commercial friends.

One thing is safe: Beijing would love Trump staying with the current chaotic course, since he will make Xi much more popular than he is now at home and abroad.

XI is currently on a brief tour of Southeast Asia (Vietnam, Cambodia and Malaysia), blocking commercial and security agreements.

More than Editorial Board

While that trip was planned before the surprise of Trump’s “day of release”, XI surely has its staff that was placed in Africa, Europe and South America.

Yes, many nations have learned from the experience to suspect China, especially since its “Belt and Road initiative” that revealed that it is a Trojan horse to extend Beijing’s influence at the price of leaving the “beneficiary” in the country.

However, if Washington won strike agreements now, many world leaders who feel the shock of Trump’s actions will feel that they have no choice but to fall into XI’s claws: revealingly, XI’s tone in Vietnam is that it is that it is that it is that it is that it is that it is that it is that it is that it is that it is that it is that Hey He directs the “responsible”, smell “superpower, there are no winners in a commercial war or a tariff war.”

As we have said before, we are all to unravel the economy of the United States of China, but Washington cannot do everything at once.

Which means that the Trump equipment needs to reduce some striking offers, not only the country by country, but the sector by sector.

For example, make Japan take some of our agricultural products; The European Union and Great Britain, some of our beef or chicken.

The United States is and has been the leader of Western civilization; Now you need to choose the right path so you can continue leading in the future.
