SAN FRANCISCO – The Warriors Steph Curry guard is expected to be available for the end of Sunday’s regular season against the clippers.
“We are planning to play, but first you have to overcome warming,” said Warriors coach Steve Kerr.
The victory of the duration of Friday in Portland, Curry returned to the locker room with 1:59 removing in the first quarter after hitting the right thumb in the knee of a defender Blazer on a road.
Curry returned in the middle of the second quarter with a wrapping around his right hand, and said after the game that the radiographs made negative.
The 37 -year -old previously deals with a thumb injury in January.
Warriors can ensure seed number 6 and avoid the game tournament with a victory. If Golden State loses, the team is in danger of falling to seed number 7.
“It doesn’t seem like a seven game, because we lose, we are still alive,” Kerr said. “It is obviously very important, and we have to address it with the attention to detail that is necessary to leave and play a good game, and then we will discover what is after that. But we are not home in any way.”
Curry has also recently been upset by a pelvis injury suffered in a March game against Toronto, and has used protection team since he lost two games on the long road trip of the team season.
Curry has averaged 24.4 points, 4.4 rebounds and 6.0 assists in 69 games played this season. Kerr pointed out what he saw as an increase in allowed physicality when the defenders keep Curry.
“One way I am seeing that it manifests in the tape is that everyone is allowed to grab and hold Steph,” Kerr said. “Just when you’re doing a back cut, I’m seeing people grab their arm.”
