A father whose son was killed in the shooting at Parkland High School revealed that several of their daughter’s surviving classmates were at Florida State University when an armed man opened fire against the students on Thursday.
“The United States is broken. My daughter Jaime was killed in the shooting at Parkland’s school. Many of her friends who were lucky enough to survive that the shooting attended FSU,” wrote father Fred Guttenberg in X shortly after the fire broke.
“Incredible, some of them were only part of their shooting in the second school and others were in the union of students today. As a father, everything always wanted after the shooting in the park was to help our children be safe.”
“Unfortunately, due to the many people who refuse to do the right things to reduce armed violence, I am not surprised what happened today,” the lawyer wrote against violence against weapons.
Guttenberg’s 14 -year -old daughter, Jamie, was among 17 people killed when an armed man upset opened fire in high school in February 2018.
At least one person is dead in FSU after Thursday’s shooting, while six more are injured, one in critical condition.
The shooter has been tasks in custody.
