San Francisco – After the draft on Monday, Golden State Valkyries General Manager, Ohemaa Nyanin, entered Bill King’s media room inside Chase Center smiling from ear to ear.
With the fifth general selection and the first election of Draft of the franchise, Ohemaa selected Justė Jocytė-a 19-year-old Guard of Lithuania of which most American basketball fans have never heard.
But for Ohemaa, Jocytė could not be better for this team.
“It’s a phenomenal athlete,” Ohemaa said. “She was the youngest athlete in playing in the euro League at age 14 and we took it lightly. Being Reviewable in No. 5 It was super important to us.”
