San Jose Sharks’ Macklin Celebrini scores in loss to Vancouver Canucks

Vancouver, British Columbia-Jake Debransk scored with 17.6 seconds on the watch in extra time and the Vancouver Canucks beat the fighters San Jose Sharks 2-1 on Monday night.

Linus Karlsson, a third round of the shark draft in 2018, also scored for Vancouver, and Nikita Tolopil stopped 15 shots in her NHL debut.

Macklin Celebini won his goal 25 of the season for San José, who lost his tenth consecutive (0-7-3). Alexandar Georgiev made 35 salvages.

Celebini, who grew up in North Vancouver and played his second professional game at Rogers Arena on Monday, now leads all NHL’s newbies in goals.

In the extra period, Brock Boeser sent a shot on the San José network, and the album recovered to Debrussk, who appeared for his goal 28 of the season with only remaining seconds on the game clock.

Celebini gave the sharks a 1-0 advantage with a 4:20 power goal in the second period, and Karlsson tied the score at 9:03 of the third with his third goal.

Both the sharks and the Canucks were without several of their best players, including the center of Vancouver Elias Pettersson and the defense of San José, Mario Ferraro. The sharks were also without defenders Jan Rutta and Jack Thompson and the strikers Thomas Bordeleau and Zack Ostapchuk, who suffered injuries during Sunday’s game against Calgary’s flames.

Canucks: Vancouver had wide scoring opportunities in the first period, including a four -minute power play where they splashed Georgiev with seven shots. Vancouver was 0 by 5 with the advantage of man.

Sharks: After losing more bodies at the injury in Sunday’s defeat against Calgary, San José asked for reinforcements for this game. Danil Gushchin from the left, defenders Luca Cagnoni and Jimmy Bells played after joining the team in Vancouver.

With Victor Mancini in the interference box, he celebrated a rocket of the confrontation point, sending the album to the crossbar at the beginning of the second period to give sharks a 1-0 advantage.

Sharks have given 48 goals for their 10 games forgiveness.

Next

The Sharks present Edmonton on Wednesday at the end of the season, and the Canucks receive Vegas in their last game.
