Two protesters were compensated and several more were arrested during a wild City Council held by representative Marjorie Taylor Greene that protesters crashed on Tuesday.
A disruptor at the Acworth Community Center, about 30 miles outside Atlanta, seemed to push a police officer while being forced from the event, which turned out that two officers displayed their tasers against him.
“This is a Pacific City Council, ladies and gentlemen,” Greene (R-GA said.
At least six protesters were taken by the duration of the application of the law, the one -hour forum, according to the Acworth Police Department
Three sentences were issued, two or who claimed the deployment or Tasers, authorities said.
Several of the interruptions arrived in the first minutes of Greene’s comments.
Near the end of the City Council, several protesters left, some obscenities shouting in the congresswoman.
A man sang, “Free Kilmar”, a reference to an alleged member of the MS-13 gang, erroneously deported to El Salvador last month, since he was taken by the police.
The Acworth Police Department said that Greene’s office pre -established attendees to ensure that they reside in their district, but one of the people arrested the Provid authorities with a driver’s license with an outside direction of the 14th Congress District.
“While trying to eliminate the subjects of the event, the officers were threatened, physically resisted and harmed in the process,” said the law of application of the law. “One of the arrest of Provid identification that placed them outside or in the district of Congressman Greene.”
The Acworth Police Department said it worked together with several state agencies for the application of the law to gather “intelligence” before the event, which indicated the “disruptive behavior potential.”
“The plans were made in advance with this intelligence in mind,” said Acworth Police. “Unfortunately, as soon as the congresswoman, the presentation, several members of the audience became harmful and created an imminent threat of public security for all attendees.”
“Their intentions were clear, place the members of our beloved Police Department in a situation of not winning in front of numerous media.”
The authorities identified Andrew Russell Nelms, 40, or Atlanta, and Johnny Keith Williams, 45 years old, or Dallas, like the two people who were compensated and accused of single battery and obsstrestruction of an agent of the law.
Kiyana Davis, 28, or Dallas, was arrested for violating an ordinance of the city in Vulgar Long.
“I am soft, they were expelled. That is exactly what I wanted to happen,” Greene told journalists after the event. “This is not a political rally or a protest.”
“Heroo a town hall tonight. Do you know who was out of place? The protesters.”
Republican leaders of the House of Representatives have urged their members of the Republican Party to avoid organizing inpersonal municipalities and, instead, celebrating virtual events, provided it is possible, in the midst of a democratic reaction to the Trump administration and, in particular, the cost moves by Eleon.
In recent weeks, several municipalities of the Republican party have been infiltrated by union workers and other democratic allies, cordination to the legislators of the Republican party.
