A plane that transported six people crashed near Copake, New York, just after noon on Saturday, the news presented after a fatal helicopter accident on the Hudson River on Thursday.
The plane, identified as a Mitsubishi Mu-2B, was on its way to the Columbia County Airport in Hudson when it is around 12:15 and crashed into an open field, Fox News reported, citing the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
A 911 call alerted the local authorities of the incident, and the officials of the National Board of Transportation and Security (NTSB) are leading an investigation into what happened.

At least one person was killed, said Columbia County Sheriff Jacqueline Salvatore, at a press conference on Saturday afternoon, but could not specify how many other passengers survived.
The plane did not hit any structure on the road down, Salvatore told journalists, and the accident site is difficult to access due to muddy conditions. It was not clear how or on Saturday what the plane had caused, said Salvatore.
According to reports, the NTSB researchers team arrived in the area on Saturday night.

The news follows another incident on Thursday when a family of five from Spain died on a helicopter tour when the plane crashed into the Hudson River, by Breitbart News.
In the accident that occurred just after 3:00 pm, the family, including two adults and three children, along with the pilot, were tragically killed.

The FAA “believed that the helicopter was a 206 bell and started from the center of Heliport in the center of Manhattan. The cause of the accident is still unknown at this time,” said the medium, adding: “The accident occurs after the horrible accident at the International Airport of 19.
“On Thursday, at that same airport, a shooting plane hit a plane parked on the track when its wings collided.”
