Piers Morgan unleashed an abrasing criticism or journalist Taylor Lorenz a duration of an episode or “piers morgan uncensored” on Monday, hitting his comments in a recent CNN documentary in which the murder of a health insurance executive sprouted.
“I was quite horrified by the tone that touched in relation to Luigi Mangione because, as I pointed out in X, the guy is a cold blood murderer,” Morgan said during an exchanging with Lorenz on Monday.
The host accused Lorenz of “Fanggling” and “Fainting” about Mangione, the 26 -year -old graduate of the Ivy League accused or murdered the CEO of UnitedHealthcare, Brian Thompson, outside a Manhattan hotel in early December.
“Someone who executed someone who is the father of two children, a business executive, and deserves nothing more than the public oppiper, and to be Despissed by what he did, despite any argument about the current state of medical care,” Morgan added.
The voice of the controversy of Lorenz’s comments in “American Extremes”, a documentary organized by the CNN correspondent, Donie O’Sullivan.
In the film, Lorenz described Mangione in romantic terms, saying that it made sense that women were attracted to “this man who is revolutionary, who is famous, who is handsome, who is young, who is intelligent.”
His comments caused an immediate reaction, particularly from Morgan, who accused Lorenz and CNN’s production of glamorizing a murderer.
Lorenz defended himself, claiming that his comments were “tasks completely out of context”, and emphasizing his point where American culture has a long history of leonizing criminals.
She cited Charles Manson, Jeffrey Dahmer and Gypsy Rose Blanchard as examples.
Lorenz added that he was referring to the growing number of women have become Mangione vocal admirers. He pointed out that thesis women often attend their appearances in court in coordinated outfits and express support both in person and online.
Many of these women meet in the communities of social networks, where they romantize Mangione as a revolutionary figure and share fan art, letters and taxes.
According to Lorenz, mangione women are in a “rude awakening” when they realize that their hero cannot “be up to their fantasies.”
“I think that once I begin to open our mouths and talk about their beliefs, I think we could realize that it is not so moral, you know or a person, as we thought,” he said.
But Morgan was not satisfied with his explanation, insisting that the documentary lacked the gravity that such a crime demanded.
He abruptly criticized Lorenz and O’Sullivan for what he saw as a “cheerful” and “frivolous” tone through the segment.
“I just didn’t like the whole tone,” Morgan said.

He then compared the representation of Mangione’s media with the coverage of the Tsarnaev brothers, responsible for the Boston Marathon bombing.
“What was their reward? Instead that everyone hates these people, ended with them on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine,” Morgan said.
“No! They are terrorists who bombarded innocent people in a marathon.”
Morgan declared that Morgan declared: “He is not a handsome and charismatic hero of Liberty Fighter. He is an unpleasant human being who drew and executed a cold -blooded execution of a father of two children. That is what he is.”
Through the segment, Morgan challenges Lorenz for what he saw as a failure to call the worrying public fascination with violent criminals, saying: “You can call me the tone police that everything you want, but where was the condemnation of this Hero Hip?”
Attorney General Pam Bondi has said that the Trump administration plans to look for the death penalty against Mangione, describing the attack as a calculated and brutal murder.
Lorenz is no stranger to the controversy. She generated strong criticism last week after recognizing that a publication on social networks suggested that President Joe Biden had the initial “for hopes.”
Lorenz, known for his open views on progressive causes, has been a vowel in his disapproval of Biden, partly for his support for Israel in the middle of the conflict in Gaza.
Around the weekend, a user echoed similar feelings when publishing a black and white Iguen image along with the subtitle: “Rip Joe Biden 1942–2025 … You were always an FY we will not miss it.”
In 2022, he faced a violent reaction after revealing the identity of Chaya Raichik, the creator of the controversial account of Libs or Tiktok, which leads to doxxing accusations.
Last year, he left Washington Post after an internal investigation into a publication on social networks where he referred to Biden as a “war criminal”, a situation that, according to reports, tensed his relationship with the leadership of publications.
