West Sacramento, California – Pete Alonso is the engine that leads the days of the alignment of the Mets, but what happens when that engine is not in operation?

On Saturday, the team received its last reminder that Alonso only won enough in the battle to score the races consistently.

Help is needed.

With the first base man without hits in his four springs to the bat, the Mets lost 3-1 to the athletics in Sutter Health Park, establishing a rubber game of the series on Sunday.

Alonso has an OPS of 1,164 and has delivered several hits that change the game for METS during the first 2 and a half weeks.

But Juan Soto only has a homer and four races promoted in his first 14 games with the team, Francisco Lindor has collided and the lower part of the alignment of the Mets has been a black hole. Brandon Nimmo has brought power to alignment, delivered his fourth day home on Saturday, but is only coming to .208.

Saturday’s loss was the fifth of the Mets season, and in each of them they scored two races or less.

Jt Ginn, a former METS prospect, changed the athletics for Chris Bassitt before the 2022 season, frustrated his former organization by allowing a race won in four hits and two walks with six strikeouts in 5 1/3 entries. The right -hander beat 97 MPH with his fast ball.

The Mets suffered an occasion with the game of José Siri of the game in the second post after a ball of his left pimpilla failed. The initial indications of the team were that Siri suffered a contusion.

David Peterson gave the METS six solid inputs in which he allowed two races won in seven hits with five strikeouts.

The left -hander has completed six tickets twice this season, the only initial launcher of the Mets to get so far in a game.

The ATS did not hit a ball out of the painting against Peterson to the room, when Jacob Wilson stroked an initial double and scored the first game of the game in the single single of Tyler Sodeterstrom.

Peterson allowed the single to Shea Langeliers and Miguel Andujar, the last of which extended the advantage of athletics at 2-0.

Peterson’s long entry continued when Hayden Senger was called by the receptor’s interference with Luis Urias on the plate.

But with the bases loaded, Peterson got Max Muncy to hit an entrance shipping ground.

Nimmo cut the advantage of the A in half with a home run leading the sixth. It is great that it is an explosion in consecutive games, writing it with Alonso for the leadership of the team in Homers (four).

Jhonny Pereda delivered a double RBI against José Butto in the seventh that expanded the deficit of the Mets to 3-1.
