San Jose – A pedestrian who was hit by a driver six years ago in San José died or his wounds last week, according to the authorities.
The collision occurred around 5:25 pm of November 26, 2019, in the 2000 block of Monterey Road, the San José police sergeant. Jorge Garibay said in a press release on Wednesday.
An investigation determined that the pedestrian, identified only as a man, walked east of Astterey Road out of a crosswalk marked when he was beaten by a woman who was driving north in a Toyota Negro 2009 sedan, Garibay said.
The driver stopped at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, according to the authorities.
The man was tasks for a hospital in the area with injuries that threaten life. He was later stabilized and placed in a long -term attention center, where he died of his wounds on April 11, Garibay said.
The Office of the Forensic Doctor of Santa Clara will release the identity of the man once confirmed and notified to his relatives.
The death of man is counting as the fatality of the city of the city of 2019, Garibay said.
