NASA axes ex-DEI chief Neela Rajendra: report

An officer of diversity, equity and inclusion of the NASA has been fired despite the fact that the postponed space agency to change its title in an attempt to avoid it of the federal executive initiatives of Dei of President Trump, according to informing.

“I think this change is essential for [Jet Propulsion Lab’s] The future success and aligns well with the strengths and approach of Neela during the last year, ”the director Leshin wrote at that time in an email obtained by The Beacon.

Rajendra directed the efforts to diversify NASA, including the promotion of the promise of “Work Force Space 2030”, which focused on hiring women and minorities.

In a 2022 presentation, Rajendra argued that “extreme deadline[s]”It brought on the path of the objectives of” inclusion, “said the beacon.

NASA did not respond to the request for comments from the post.
