A Long Island couple reserved a European dream cruise to celebrate a medical milestone, but the travel agency played its $ 23000 and sailed from the city, according to a report.
The dream holidays of the Pat Polish and Valle Polydostro’s grandparents became a nightmare when Astutas escapes were found in Miller Place was completely vacant in February, four months after they paid the cruise as a whole, the couple said to NBC 4.
“I am very injured and I am very annoying and it is something that will live with me forever,” Pat Polycast told The Outlet.
“It’s surprising how they got up and disappeared,” he added.
His wife, Val, has just recovered from medical problems and his planned cruise for August to Europe “was to be a celebration to improve.”
They paid the agency in October, but their calls to the representatives there were not answered, he said. Their line of cruises and hotels also confirmed that no reservations were made on behalf of the couple.
Since then, the New York Attorney General’s Office has launched an investigation, and the Polycast Family has also filed a complaint with Suffolk County Police, according to NBC 4.
“He has liked people in general and that is sad. I have lost my trust,” said Polycast.
“What they are doing, I don’t know how you live with yourself, to do something very painful.”
