These English villagers are not too happy with Kelsey Grammer’s plans to tear down a 200 -year cabin.
The actor, known for his interpretation of the scathing psychiatrist Fraiser Crane in the “Cheers” and “Fraiser” situation comedies, bought a historic English cabin in 2023.
And now, Grammer’s new plans to level the property have caused local anger, according to SWNS.
Grammer, 70, bought the house in 2023 with his wife, Kayte Wash, 46, to be closer to his family in Bristol.
The two -bedroom stone cabin has a view to the Bristol Canal, to the Welsh coast. The materials in the last list announce the house such as two or three bedroom infant in 1,828 square feet, plus a garage of 332 square feet.
North Somerset Council planners recently cool the green light to demolish the cabin and build a modern four bedroom house, with a game room and a gym.
Grammer’s plans to level the coastal house have attracted the anger of local residents and eight letters to the local council objecting their decision.
“I think it is a shame that it is a beautiful building with a character, it is old and is part of the community,” Wendy Osment, 74 -year -old local resident, 74, 74, He told Swns.
“People already have tasks of an old country houses.”
Osment told SWNS that his grandson cannot afford to live near it, since rich buyers have increased the values of the properties.
Others have not chopped words. A 76 -year -old place that talks to Telegraph called the planned demolition “a misfortune.”
The local parish council called the cabin a “historical icon”, along the coastal road, Swns said.
Susan Smart, 76, who lives in a trailer park in Walton Bay, said the change would not bother him much, but there has already been much change in the community.
“I would like it to stay like this, but unfortunately I think that in this weather people have the money, buy houses and do things they can do if they have the money to pay it,” Smart told SWNS.
“I just hope you agree with the other houses that have made the leg,” said Smart. “Three properties have been demolished during the past year.”
Grammer requested last year to build a large extension in the house, but his offer was rejected. The expansion would have demolished extensions of the era of the 1980s on three sides of the cabin and added a larger addition until double the size of the original building, in addition to a new basement.
That offer was denied by the Council, but the actor obviously has no legal impediment to complete demolishing the house.
Grammer has not yet responded to the negative reception of his plans, but the counter requires that his demolition begins in February or before.
