Justin Rose grabs first-round Masters lead, Scottie Scheffler three back

Augusta, VE. – Justin Rose was in the area.

Augusta National was his personal recess patio.

I was in a family place in the Masters, in content at the beginning of the tournament.

Now, if you can bottling what you do in the opening rounds and apply it to the next rounds, Rose, at 44, will be a great winner and a green jacket winner for the first time.

Rose opened the 89th Masters with a Sterling 7 under 65 Thorsday to take a three -shooting advantage over defending champion Scottie Scheffler, Corey Conners Canadian and the second place of last year, Ludvig Åberg.

Tyrrell Hatton and Bryson Depochambeau have four back in 3 bass.

The day was about Rose and his brilliant round.

“It was a very fun day,” Rose said. “I had the energy underway, I had the feeling in progress. Everything was going in my way. I was sailing hard holes.”

The royal round seemed to be better, with Rose 8 under a torque to 16 holes. But he hastened at the same time in 17 and a poor exit blow in 18 led to his only round of the round.

“When I buried Putt Birdie in 16, I felt on the front foot and thought that 17 and 18 were players, but two bad blows of Tee,” Rose said. “It was still a great day.”

For Rose, it was the fifth time in his Masters career that he has had at least part of the leadership after the first round, which links Jack Nicklaus record.

He led in 2004 and ended up tied in the 22nd position. He shared leadership in 2007 and ended up tied in the fifth. He shared the leadership in 2008 and ended up tied in 36th place. He had the only advantage in 2021 and ended seventh.

This marked the ninth time Rose has led a round in the Masters, which is the most player in the history of the tournament that has won a green jacket.

The 65 tied Rose’s lowest round in the Masters, which was their opening round in 2021.

“You never know in First Tee that you will come and play very well,” Rose said. “I was definitely looking forward and looking to do something special today. I have played a lot of golf here in Augusta National, so going out with my best score is undoubtedly an achievement for me.

“Be between 3 of the three to three [holes] I really put on my front foot and felt that I was playing a great golf. “

Rose finished runner -up against Jordan Spieth in 2015 and lost to Sergio García in a playoff in 2017.

“I feel that I have played well enough to win this tournament,” Rose said. “I don’t have the jacket to prove it. Obviously, I have played many good golf rounds here. Ultimately, you want to be the last man standing on Sunday.”

Deshambeau and Åberg made nine positions to arrive inside the three shots. Åberg shot 4 bass in the nineteenth.

“I’m proud of the way I finished,” said Åberg. “In this place, the experience is very useful, and I felt that we play a very disciplined round of golf today.”

Åberg, who finished the Scheffler runner -up last year in his first important championship of his career, described Rose’s round as “really ridiculous” “how good it was.

“We were walking down, I don’t remember what hole it was, and he took it to 8 under some time, what we said, ‘That is quite impression,” he said. I have not seen any or putts or putts, but I all.’

Rose, the US Open champion, continues to sit on the largest tournaments.

“That is what inspires me to continue playing, continue practicing, continue working hard and make the sacrifices far from the family … playing well in the main championships and that dream that I can still win one of the things, a couple, Ethel, like Thean, a couple, like a read, a read that a couple, a couple, a couple, a couple, a couple, Thean a couple, a couple, when I come for a couple, when I come for a couple.
