Jewish school employees denied religious observance day ahead of Passover

New York City denied Jewish educators a day of religious observance this week to prepare for Easter, according to the post.

The eight -day Jewish holidays begged on Saturday, April 12 of this year, coinciding with Jewish Saturday, a rest day.

Those who travel, who prepare for the Seder party or perform traditions prior to coating such as the elimination of elevant foods had to do so in the days before the holidays.

The defenders pressed the City Council and the Chancellor of the Melissa Aviles-Ramos schools this week to allow the day of religious observance, but the authorities decided against Thursday, determining that Friday was not a religious day, the sources said.

A City Council spokesman also reiterated the option of taking a paid personal day, adding: “Mayor Adams has always dedicated himself to promoting an inclusive work environment for people of all religions, including those of the Jewish community.”

Jewish educators and activists criticized the decision.

“Obviously, we are disappointed with their decision and the Jewish personnel hit, isn’t it that the adaptations were enough to fulfill their religious bondigations of the day,” said Moshe Spern, president of the group of United Jewish teachers?
