The new Netflix “Ransom Canyon” program (released on Thursday, April 17) aims to be the next “Yellowstone”, with a pinch of “Bridgerton” and “Friday Night Lights”.

Blair added that he loves how romantic and radical such as “1923” are.
“I wanted to do something like this: for a contemporary [story]. ”
“Ransom Canyon” is based on a series of romantic novels, similar to the predecessor of ITS Netflix, “Bridgerton”. Located in Texas, the western drama follows the states of Rancheros of Gruff Kirkland (Josh Duhamel), who is recovering from losing his family. The owner of the local dance, Quinn (Minka Kelly) is divided between Staten and his rival, Davis Collins (Ein Macken), but they must also fight against larger forces that their land want.
The support cast includes James Brolin, Marianly Tejada (“One of us is lying”) and Jack Schumacher (“Top Gun: Maverick”) as a newcomer mysterious.
Blair, who has also worked on “Wednesday” “All American” and “Hart of Dixie,” he told The Post: “I always wanted to do something that was like a Neo Western, but also something soapy and romantic … what we expect is something, famous and somhole, family, famous together.”
She believes that spectators will be “surprised” by Duhamel as the protagonist.
“He is maturing and felling, but it is still as handsome as ever. He has always made romances and comedies, and this is him inclined in something that is a bit more painful and tortured, and cowboy vibrations. [This role is] Something new for him, which I think will be fun for people. ”
Duhamel is 52 years old and Kelly is 44 years old, which makes central romance among the characters that are old that typical 20 and 30 years.

In that program, he recalled that together with football players, coach Taylor (Kyle Chandler) and his wife, Tami (Connie Britton), were also the main focus.

Because the program is aimed at a wide audience, just although it is based on romantic novels, it is not as smoking as “Bridgerton.”
“We tried to do it as smoking as we could,” Blair said, while I kept it, “something you could still see as a family. Therefore, there are smoking elements, but we do not become too crazy. But I think love and yearning, like everything painful, is really where the romance is located, instead of only physically smoking things.”
I just thought the books followed several couples, Blair said that Duhamel and Kelly will make the stars of the program if “Ransom Canyon” is renewed for more seasons.
“As ‘Bridgerton’ does, each book addresses a new set of characters … and for television, I love the characters we have,” he explained.
“We would do it because to continue with them.”
