Gene Hackman, Betsy, was seen making a final public appearance before her premature death in surveillance images published by New Mexico officials on Tuesday.

It is believed that Betsy, also known as Betsy Arakawa, died on February 12 at the house of Santa Fe that he shared with Hackman, according to the Forensic Doctor of New Mexico, Dr. Ir. Heather Jarrell, who also revealed that the cause of the death of the classic pianist was Hantavirus, a strange disease transmitted by rodents.

On February 11, the security images obeyed by SUN showed Arakawa, 65, buying edible in a self-chockout of the grocery market in Santa Fe approximately at 4 pm

The video, made public by the Sheriff’s office in Santa Fe County, also confirmed previous reports that Arakawa had a facial mask on the shopping trip.

The Oscar winner’s wife was seen minutes later in a Pet Shine Shine food store.

Arakawa bought only in the footage and did not seem to behave unusual in any way.

That earlier day, he sent an email to his therapist to cancel his appointment of February 12 “for great caution” because Hackman, 95, had woken up with flu or cold symptoms, although he said he tried negative for Covid.

Arakawa was the main caregiver of the “French connection” star in his last days. Records that include emails, telephone calls and internet searches published by the Police revealed that he had investigated Covid symptoms and considered medical care for her husband in the days before death.

The questions about whether COVID could cause dizziness or nasal hemorrhages were among Arakawa’s online searches. His final search on the Internet on February 12 was for local medical care suppliers.

Hackman, who suffered from Alzheimer’s disease, died at home on February 17 or February 18 and may not have known that his wife had been dead for days in the same house.

The authorities said last month that the cause of Hackman’s death was hypertensive atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, with Alzheimer’s disease listed as a contributing factor.

The bodies of Arakawa and Hackman were not discovered until maintenance workers visited their home on February 26.

Recently, the couple was buried after a private monument that honored them was a hero in Santa Fe for their family and friends, the post learned on Tuesday.
