A Texas father is outraged after his daughter was suspended for confronting a male thug that slapped her in the face in the middle of the class and fought her against the ground in a wild fight trapped in a video.
The viral video of the interior of Taylor High School in Katy shows the moment when a teenager slapped a girl on her face while they are in the front of the class last month, surprising everyone.
The girl points out what had just happened to the teacher, who is frozen. Then, the girl feels the boy, who allegedly tormented her all year.
The two fight each other to the ground, with the big boy nailing the girl to the ground while shouting desecrates.
A student is seen trying to get the boy to get the girl, while the teacher seems to leave the classroom.
The boy hits the girl several times before they separate. The incident caused the two to be suspended for three days after the district stated that it was a “mutual” fight.
Danny Gianfrancesco, the father of the girls, said on Monday that the video shows that the daughter was the victim in the situation and acted in self -defense after the child slapped her.
“There should not be as much confusion in a situation like this is simple as the day: an assault of a boy in a girl,” Gianfrancesco told ABC 13. “When did that change change?”
The annoying father said the incident the unvent after the child, a football player, blessed harassing his daughter the current school year.
The girl sought the help of her boyfriend, another soccer player, who warned the alleged thug to stop bothering her.
Instead of finishing it there, the boy faced the girl in front of the class, Gianfrancesco said, added that his family plans to press charges against the boy.
“I don’t want that to happen to anyone else’s daughter,” he said. “That video is very difficult to see. I can’t see it anymore.”
Katy’s independent school district said he had investigated the incident and carried out the appropriate punishment according to the District Code of Behavior, which caused a debate on Monday night about School’s Self -Defense Policy.
According to District’s Student Affairs Director, Sherry Ashorn, a claim for self -defense is not enough to avoid disciplinary actions
“If another student faces you, you should avoid going back,” Ashorn told the parents. “He states that, regardless of whether you start fighting, both students can be disciplined in agreement.”
The president of the Katy ISD School Board, Victor Pérez, said the district will review the policy to see if changes must be made.
