Weed reduction

The city of Cupertino and the Department of Environmental Management of Cupertino County and Santa Clara are being associated to reduce the risks of fire falls due to vegetation covered with weeds and flammable materials. The owners must comply with the minimum fire safety standards for Wednesday, April 30, and keep them through the fire season.

The vegetation must be maintained below 6 inches high. County staff will inspect the properties from April 30 to the end of October; The uncomplicated properties will be deleted at the expense of the owners. The rates, including an inspection rate, will be added to the property tax invoice for non -compliant properties.

Recycling day

Cupertino is organizing its paper crushing and the day of environmental recycling at the Anza College, parking A, on April 26 at 8 am-amediodía.

This event offers residents a free and fall fall service to encourage the widespread use of products and to prevent valuable resources from the landfill. See acceptable articles at Cupertino.gov/envimesalday.

Sparks conversation

The city of Cupertino is exploring a policy for the transition of appliances and natural gas equipment to renewable electricity to help combat climate change. To that end, the city is asking residents to carry out a brief survey on community’s perspectives on household electrification.

The survey also touches the challenges facing residents in the electrification of their homes through the use of appliances and equipment, such as induction stoves, heat pump sheets and air conditioning systems and heat pump heating.

To take the survey, visit Cupertino.gov/goelectric Survey.
