“I definitely anticipated that the ball was with the confrontation,” Bellinger said after the victory. “I knew it was going to be a ball of earth or a flying ball, but I was anticipating the ball. And wherever I was, I just wanted to make the best first jump … I had a small uncomfortable step there and [my] The head was balanced too much. But, I had a good rhythm and I saw the way the ball was going, I was slippery, I could catch it and get the victory. ”

After the capture, Bellinger sat on the ground, holding his glove in triumph.

The diving capture also sealed the first rescue of his career of Fernando Cruz.

“There is a reason why he has gold in his glove to be able to make that capture, as special in a great moment like that: game in the line with a runner on the second base,” Judge said about the play. “And to bed there, extended for the team, that was quite impression.”
