Philadelphia – Bryce Harper is ready to give another blow to fatherhood, and did it with a blue bat.
The Slugger of Philadelphia Phillies used a blue bat in his first appearance in the game on Monday night against San Francisco as part of a gender revelation for his fourth son.
Harper, twice, MVP of the National League, Harper announced in a team meeting that his family grew. Later he asked All-Star Shortstop Trea Turner for assistance with a very unusual revelation.
Harper had ordered two bats made of Victus Sports, one of the Bat manufacturers that produced the pink torpedo for a girl and blue for a boy.
“It’s a fairly creative guy,” Turner said. “He was kind enough to ask me to do it and I thought it was a good time for him and his family.”
Harper and his wife, Kayla, already have three young children together. Harpers have a son named Krew and two daughters, Brooklyn and Kamryn. Harper was not immediately aviable to comment after the Philis lost 10-4.
“Every time you have a child, I know it’s a room, but it’s still great,” Turner said.
Turner had pink and blue bats on the bench before the Philis arrived in the first entrance. Turner joked with Harper with the pink bat before withdrawing and changing it for blue.
“He thought I was having a girl, so I had to do it a little,” Turner said. “Indeed, he was a child. I ended up giving him blue and I was quite happy.”
Harper struck out with the blue bat. He resumed to balance his regular bat for the rest of the game and finished 1 for 5.
“I think I would have an excited leg in any way,” Turner said. “Now he has two or every one. I feel that, a complete family, but every time you can add another person to the family, I think it’s special. I think it’s very excited.”
