She was 27 years old.

Markovic suffered a leg of a brain arteriovada, which forced her to undergo emergency surgery on April 2.

“Dear friends and family, I regret to inform him that Lucy has died,” read a statement published by his partner Carlos on Instagram. “She was at peace. I, her mother and my mother were present with her. We asked you to give us space in these difficult times. That Lucy rests in peace.”

Arteriovas malformation (AVM) is described as the “around the blood vessels that create irregular connections between arteries and veins,” according to the Mayo Clinic. The condition often prevents tissues from receiving oxygen.

Arteriovas malformations are rare and occur in 1 in 100,000 people.

The fashion figure was public about his struggles in the week prior to his death.

Markovic revealed that he was scheduled to undergo brain surgery on March 26 to treat AVM “on the back of his brain”, which he compared with the size of a golf ball. The procedure moved to April 2.

“Lucky + unfortunate: radiation, seizures, heavy medication and 4 years later,” Markovic subtitled his last Instagram post. “Excited, grateful, scared, supported, supported. Flot of emotions at this time. Life is a trip and I am ready for the next chapter.”

According to the Australian transmission corporation, Markovic was “fighting for her life” in Thorsday Night, days after his procedure.

The track model was remembered by some of the most important fashion names.

Donatella Versace published an image of the model in an Instagram story, writing: “I am very sorry to listen to the news about @lucymarkovicc. Rest in La Paz beautiful girl.”

“Lucy was such a beautiful girl inside and out,” said Australian designer Alex Perry to Daily Telegraph. “It was a pleasure to work with her and very professional. And just at that age, that the tasks of life outside of it are really devastating.”

“Lucy was a brilliant and bright light, and had an incredible sense of dry humor,” wrote its NYC Elite agency in an Instagram publication. “Her smile and laughter could illuminate a room and approach her.”

Markovic jumped to fame when he was a contestant in “Australia’s Next Top Model” in 2015.

Markovic, who was 16 at that time, arrived in second place and is raised to pose for international brands such as Givench, Versace, Victoria Beckham and Emporio Armani
