Where LSU, South Carolina, UConn rank in post-transfer portal top 25 for women’s college basketball

The Transfer Portal in women’s university basketball has closed and most of the best players that remain in the portal, with a great exception, Kayleight Hecke of the USC, have chosen their new destinations.

As the lists have changed, so have expectations for the best teams that go to the next season. There were some squads who were great winners on the portal, such as Ole Miss, TCU, Maryland and LSU, who have dramatically increased their roofs for next year. Meanwhile, there are great questions about teams that lost a lot of talent, like Notre Dame.

With the reorganized lists, it is time for another look at the contestants for the next season. Six months of the beginning of the 2025-26 season, here is a writer look at the top 25 preseason:

I just lost: USF, Clemsson, Smu, Illinois, Louisville, West Virginia

25. Iowa

24. Notre Dame

23. STATE OF NC

The Hawkeyes remain in the top 25 of the road stops after the rupture of Essentially only on the portal when losing Aaliyah Guyton to Illinois, but adding a young promising guard in Wright of Georgia Tech. Notre Dame and Nc State Most of their headlines of Sweet 16. Both return two players who could compete for the ACO player in Hannah Hidalgo and Zoe Brooks, but will they be enough to take the Irish and Wolfpack deeply in the postseason again?

22. Ohio status

21. Richmond

20. Iowa state

19. Michigan

18. KANSAS STATE

In addition to bringing three recruits of the 100 best, the Wildcats also add three solid transfers in Tess Heal, Izela Arenas and Ramiya White. Heal-A near the 50-40-90 player last season in Stanford-Shre could fill the void left by Serena Sundell in the shipowner, but the Wildcats will have to discover how to play without an imposing presence on the front court.

17. State of Oklahoma

16. Baylor

15. Kentucky

14. Vanderbilt

13. OLE MISS

One of the biggest winners of the transfer portal season, the rebels of Yolett McPhee-Mccuin have what appears to be an incredible talent list, on paper anyway. After a race towards the Sweet 16, Ole Miss added eight players on the portal, led by the All-Big Ten Cotie McMahon eaves, one of the best scorers in the nation in Kaitlin Peterson from UCF and a strong post player in Latasha Lattimore. The class also includes two experienced players in the SEC in Desshields and you must, who join on the other side of the rivalry of eggs of the Mississippi state.

12. Duke

11. North Carolina

North Carolina did enough on the portal to stay as a team that should compete again for a top 16 seed in the next NCAA tournament by adding Nyla Harris de Louisville and Elina Aarnisalo de UCLA. Duke will have to discover how to replace the production of the MVP of the ACC Okananwa Tournament and the firm hand of the Vanessa Dejesus reserve.

10. Texas

9. Oklahoma

8. USC

7. Tennessee

Due to the way the Lady Vols play with Kim Caldwell, at a fast and deeply pace in their bank, adding three talented rotation players such as Nya Robertson of SMU, the LSU Wolfenbarger and Janiah Barkd Felly Filly de UCLA LSU shirt. Barker is a player that many believe that he still did not reach its maximum potential, and should have the opportunity to do it in Knoxville and could be a shocking player.

6. TCU

5. Maryland

4. UCLA

When they left their best season in the history of the program, the cornudas frogs had to rebuild after losing Hailey of Lith, Sedona Prince and Madison Conner. Mark Campbell Went Out and Got Arguffy The Best Point Guard in the Portal In Notre Dame’s Olivia Miles and The Put More Intruguing Pieces Around Her in Kentucky Post Clara Silva, Texas A & M Guard Taliyah Parka, Cala San Sana Sala, and San State State State State State, and San State, State Center, and San State State Center, and San State, State Center, State Center, and San State Bashamham and San Sala -Kennedy State Center. Sheffey. Matching those additions with the key returnees such as Donovyn Hunter, Taylor Bigby and Aaliyah Roberson should give TCU the opportunity to make another Madess de March Deep’s opportunity.

Maryland was another great winner of the portal by adding Okanananwa from Duke and a couple of talents to All-Big Ten in Indiana’s Yarden Garzon and Gracie Merkle of Penn State. Okananwa is a dynamic guard who can balance games, as evidenced by his performances in the postseason last March-Garzon was probably the best 3-year-old player in the portal, and Merkle has been estimated as a threat after command.

UCLA lost much of his depth of his Final Four list, but took Arguffy the best 3 -point warehouse on the portal in Gianna Knepkens of Utah. Playing with Lauren Betts, Kiki Rice, Charlisse Army-Walker, Gabriela Joquez and Angela Dugalić should give rise to many open looks for the old UTE. The Bruins also add the recruits of Nations No. 2 in Betts’s younger sister, Sienna.

3. South Carolina

2. UCONN

1. Lsu

One could present a strong argument for any of these teams to be No. 1 of the preseason, but Kim Mulkey’s tigers did an impressive job in the portal by landing perhaps the most exciting player in the country in Milaysia Fulwiley, stealing it away from his rival of the SEC. LSU also got a center with a high ceiling in Kate Koval de Notre Dame, and a versatile wing of Do-Iall in Amiya Joyner of East Carolina, which averaged 15 points and nine rebounds last season. Matching that trio with flau’jae Johnson, Mikaylah Williams and three top 25 recruits should make LSU a contender for the national title.

Of course, UConn will be in a great position to defend his crown with Sarah Strong, Azzi Fudd and KK Arnold returning, and the addition of the Double-Doble Machine Serah Williams of Wisconsin should only increase his chances of doing so. The Huskies also bring two best recruits and back role players in Ashlynn Shade, Ice Brady, Jana El Alfy and a healthy Caroline Duchar me.

South Carolina lost to Fulwiley and three headlines against the WNBA, but it was reached again by adding the nation scorer in Ta’niya Losson of the state of Florida and a player who almost averaged a double double last season. With Raven Johnson, Chloe Kitts, Joyce Edwards and Tessa Johnson returning around him, it is reasonable to expect Dawn Staley team to be in a position to do the last four again.
