Here are four teams that attended the draft.
New England patriots
The first draft of the era of Mike Vrabel in New England had a general task.
Help the Drake Maye field marshal.
The Patriots and Eliot Wolf, the team’s executive vice president or the player’s staff, took that task out of the park. It began with the offensive liner of LSU Will Campbell at number 4, who immediately struggled for patriots’ fans, and Maye himself, with this moment:
But the help for Maye did not end there. New England added to the Treveyon Henderson corridor at number 38, the state of Washington Wr Kyle Williams in number 69, and a little more help for the offensive line with Georgia C Jared Wilson in the third round.
The help for the defensive side of the ball begins on Saturday, with three consecutive defenders in the security of California, Craig Woodson, the defensive Tackle Joshua Farmer and LSU Edge Bradyn Swinson. But with what New England added around Maye, both in free and draft agency, this is a completely new list in Foxborough. And one of manyprud in that.
Carolina Panthers
I loved the panthers draft from top to bottom. After the QB Bryce Young flourished in its end until the 2024 season, the Panthers added Wr Tetairo McMillan to begin their draft with the eighth general selection. McMillan’s ability to separate and win in the intermediate and short areas should help an offensive of the Panthers that did not have anyone to create spoats, and the immediacy becomes the alpha receiver they have been looking for.
However, elite teams are made on days 2 and 3, and I think the Panthers hit these days outside the park. Mercer by Edge Nic Scourton and then duplicate with Edge Princey Uuermanils is a really good, complementary job. If Scourton can keep his weight low, it is a hammer on the edge that has a second cunning march. Then, the panthers can turn in umermieen when passing through the casualties, where you can make your explosion a good use only as a passes corridor. Then, on day 3, add Georgia RB Trevor Etienne, Notre Dame Te Mitchell Evans and Florida Dt Cam Jackson are really intelligent, all types that I think can enter and serve important important roles. I am very high with Evans, who could end up being a quality initiator for them. Carolina could have had my favorite draft.
Kansas City bosses
The good teams remain well when the draft nail, and the Chiefs spent great success. I thought they would have to exchange for Ot Josh Simmons, but, uninterrupted, they changed and could still obtain it at 32. Their work on day 2 was simply better, adding more depth and impact on defense with perfect schematic adjustments. I think I like Louisville’s selection Edge Ashton Gillotte, a hard -edged border defender who wins with heavy hands and power.
Omar Norman-Lott and Nohl Williams on day 2 are great adjustments, both have potential to start or perform large roles immediately. In addition to that, the Chiefs selected Utah State Jalen Royals in Round 4, when I thought I would go a day before. It will bring more juice to the receiver’s room and give them an impulse of the slot. The Chiefs have stayed at the top of winning the draft, and this year it feels like another example of that.
Las Vegas Raiders
What begins for Pete Carroll/John Spytek era in Las Vegas. They enter the draft wanting to build an identity, and their choices helped solidify it. Obtaining Ashton Jeantty at 6 years is Awesome-Yes, I am aware of writing an early RB, but Jeanty is a factor as a receiver and tacle that must come with OC Chip Kelly drawing plays for him. On day 2, the Raiders added TCU WR Jack Bech, then two impressive liners in Caleb Rogers and Charles Grant that could be more initial in the future.
On day 3, adding Donte Thornton when I was surprised, but their size and speed should help open many lanes between the hashes for Jeanty and Bech, and then take Tommy Mellott of the state of Montana (which will play WR) is really a real. The Raiders wanted to build an identity and, through this draft, they have the tasks of a strong first step.
