Former UConn star signs contract with Connecticut Sun

The former UConn star, Bria Hartley, has signed a training camp contract with Connecticut Sun. Hartley, who was generally recruited in 2014, played for the last time at the WNBA in 2022, but he is looking at the league this spring.

The 32 -year -old won two NCAA championships with UCONN, in 2013 and 2014, averaging 13 points, 3.7 assists and 3.6 rebounds in four seasons. In Uconn, she was a teammate with the current general manager of Sun Morgan Tuck.

In 207 WNBA games in 9 seasons, Hartley averaged 7.9 points, 2.6 assists and 2.2 rebounds per game. His career has included seasons with Washington Mystics, New York Liberty, Phoenix Mercury, Indiana Fover and Connecticut Sun.

His best season arrived in 2020, when he arrived third for the sixth woman of the year after an outstanding season with Mercury. He averaged 14.6 points and 4.5 assists while fired 38.5% of three.

The last time he played for the sun in 2022, averaging 4.7 points in 22 games.

Last year, Hartley played abroad in Türkiye. He also played in the Unlimited Basketball League of athletes in the low season.

Sun Connecticut has more list cuts to do

The SUN currently has 17 players in his list of training camps and will to cut at least five players before the deadline of May 15 of the WNBA. On Thursday, the team cut two players: Caitlin Bickle and Kamila Borkowska.

The 17 current players are:
