Eyelid Surgery Becomes Most Common Plastic Surgery in 2024

The International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS) published the results of its annual global survey on aesthetic/cosmetic procedures in the World Congress of the ISAPS Olympiad in Singapore, showing eyelid surgery, Reing time, was the first time, was the first time, liposuction, with 2.1 million.

It was followed by liposuction, breast increase, scars and rhinoplasty review. The most popular non -surgical procedures were botulinum toxin, hyaluronic acid (filling), hair removal, non -surgical hardening of the skin and chemical exfoliations.

Most of the face and head procedures showed growth of the previous year, with more than 7.4 million procedures and an increase of 4.3%. The higher procedures were eyelid surgery with more than 2.1 million and an increase of 13.4%, rhinoplasty with 1 million procedures and a 10%decrease, and fat graft, face 0.9 million and an increase of 19.2%. There were 3.9 million breast procedures (-14.1%) and 6 million body and limb procedures (-14.8%).

Liposuction remained the most common surgical procedure for women, followed by eyelid surgery and breast increase. The eyelid surgery was again the most popular surgical procedure among men, followed by gynecomastia and scars review.

The majority of breast increases (54%), rhinoplasties (60.1%) and external genital surgery (48.4%) took place in injectable toxin botulinum from 18 to 34 years, were more popular among 3R-50 ages (47%). Liposuction and reduction of non -surgical fats were distributed quite a lot between both age groups.

Botulinic toxin remained the most common non -surgical procedure for men and women and among all age groups, with 7.8 million procedures carried out by plastic surgeons worldwide. Secondly, hyaluronic acid procedures increased by 5.2% to 7.8 million.

In total, plastic surgeons carried out more than 17.4 million procedures, together with 20.5 non -surgical procedures, in 2024. Approximately the last four years, the general increase is 42.5%.

The report now also includes data in “Mom image change ”and other combined procedures, scars review, rejuvenation of the hands with fat graft, oral fat elimination, inverted correction of the nipple, zipper creation and other exterior genital decretures.

Once again, the United States carried out the largest number of procedures with more than 6.1 million, followed by Brazil with 3.1 million (which is first in surgical procedures) and Japan.
