Makemytrip has said that the deepest penetration in level and level III markets, along with an increase in outgoing trips, helped boost more than 26 percent of a growth in its gross reserves at $ 9.8 billion in fiscal year 2015.

“Our high growth rate comes from new users and customers.

While the online travel portal saw an increase in gross reserves, income and margins in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2015 in an year -on -year base, their profits were affected due to the absence of unique profits. Excluding them, the net gain for the period increased by approximately 92 percent to $ 29.2 million.

Magow said Makemy Drip has strengthened its product proposal, which helped the company achieve better sales. In fiscal year 2000, international air ticket revenues grew by more than 33 percent year -on -year, far exceeding industry growth, he said. Similarly, international hotel revenues grew by more than 65 percent year -on -year, which makes it one of the fastest growing commercial segments for the company.

“Our international business now contributes 25 percent to general income, compared to 22 percent turn of fiscal year 2014,” Magow added.

The company has also increased its family business and benefits from the growth of spiritual tourism in the country. The volume to pilgrimage cities increased 95 percent year -on -year, with the Kumbh Mela providing an additional impulse to business.
