The governor of Tamil Nadu accepted on Sunday the resignation of the ministers of Tamil Nadu V senthil Balaji and K Ponmudy and also approved the assignments of his portfolio to new ministers.
Tamil Nadu Cm MK Stalin has recommended the governor to accept the resignation of the ministers and the governor has approved the same, said a statement of Raj Bhavan.
The current Minister of Transportation SS Sivar has also been intomented as the portfolio of the Ministry of Electricity held by FEHIL BALAJI. In addition, the additional position of the prohibition portfolio and special taxes is now delivered to the Minister of Housing and Urban Development S Mushusamy.
RS Rajakannappan, previously Minister of Milk and Dairy Development, has been redimated as Minister Bosques and Khadi. In addition, the CM has also recommended the induction of T Hand ThanGaraj, MLA of the Constitution of the Padmanabhapuram Assembly, to the Cabinet.
The swear ceremony for the new designated minister will take place in Raj Bhavan in Chennai, Monday night.
The resignations of the two ministers have a leg in the anvil for some time, since the pressure was increasing in both.
