NSE, BSE Top gainers & losers today May 20, 2025: Sensex down over 500 pts, Coal India, ONGC, Hindalco, Tata Steel shares lead gainers, Protean, Honda India, Cochin Shipyard, Zen Tech shares in action

The reference rates were negotiated lower in the mid -mid -day negotiation session in mixed global signals. Sensex depouted 512.86 pts or 0.62 percent to 81,546.56 at 12.56 pm, and NIFTY 50 decreased 143.10 pts or 0.57 percent to 24,802.35.

The volatility index fell 0.93 percent to 17.19. Smallcap actions showed resilience in the midst of market fall, while Midcap actions slid.

Realty, Metal and It Indexan merchant in positive territory with marginal gains, while banking, cars and media rates submerged about 1 percent.

The best winners and losers today

The Laboraciones de Coal India, Oncc, Hindalco, Tata Steel and Dr. Reddy emerged as the main nifty winners 50 components, while Eternal, Cipla, Hero Motocorp, Maruti Suzuki and Eicher Motors decreased.

Almost 1,203 shares advanced and 1,486 decreased the 2,775 shares that quoted in the National Stock Exchange. Around 105 shares, including Zen Tech, KPI Green, Honda Power and DCM financial services reach the upper circuit and 37 reach the lower circuit. 44 Actions reached a maximum of 52 weeks and 10 batted for 52 weeks.

Coal India shares rose 2.79 percent to ₹ 413.95, leading the winners of the NIFTY 50 package. NGOs won 1.16 percent to ₹ 250.55.

The shares of Hindalco Industries rose 1.07 percent to ₹ 665.40.

The Tata steel stock increased 1.01 percent to ₹ 159.16.

On the other hand, eternal actions fell 3.19 percent to ₹ 230.44.

Campla decreased 1.76 percent to ₹ 1,465.40.

Hero Motocorp fell 1.74 percent to ₹ 4.311.30 and Maruti depreciated 1.62 percent to ₹ 12.779.

Defense stocks such as Cochin’s shipyard, the defense of the parasos, Unimech, DCX India and data patterns decreased 3-6 percent.

Between Smallcap, the actions of Zensar Tech, Pel, Godfrey Phillips and Aegis Logistics rose 3-6 percent. Bhel, Sail, Union Bank, Dixon and Nykaa quoted 1-2 percent positive among Midcap.

In the EEB, Pfizer’s shares, stainless steel green joined 12 percent. Newgen, Basf shot more than 9 percent.

Corp Quesss and Protean shares fell 8 percent.

Call, Mobikwik, Power Grid, Karur Vysya Bank and the Zydus Wellness’s actions reacted to the Q4 results. Hindalco, Torrent Pharmaceuticals, Gland Pharma, Solar Industries, Dixon, Max Healthcare, Whirlpool and more will announce the results of the fourth quarter today. Live update monitoring
