Adani’s e-mobility arm invests over ₹100 cr for creating network of 3,400 EV charging points

In the last 18 Monhs, Adani Totaalenergies e-Mobility Limited (ATEL) has installed 3,400 EV load points with an investment of approximately 100 million rupees and is now looking to expand the network by adding 2,000 load points more this year.

In a short period, this Incipient Subsidiary of Adani Total Limited Gas has positioned ITELF as the number one operator of cargo points of the airport in India and is currently establishing a network of EV load points in the country.

During the gain call for the fourth quarter, Sureesh P Manglani, Ed & CEO of Adani Total Limited Gas (ATGL) said: “ATel has now expanded its footprint at 3,401 EV load points installed, of which a total of 2,338 EV load points have focused and opened to the final finals.

The company invested just over ₹ 100 million rupees in the EV business in the last 17-18 months and is expected to invest more to expand the network. “We will continue to invest ₹ 70-80 million rupees this current year.” The investments will be 1,500-2000 additional load points, including those that are close to the start-up stage.

ATEL is currently the cargo operator of the airport (CPO) number one in the country with presence in 21 airports with more than 100 load points granted, the company said. “Last year we established five EV load points every day. It is a positive business of EBITA for us,” said Manglani.

As for the use of the EV load network, it is a group, the company had greater use in the B2B segment and a lower use for the B2C segment.

“We are very optimistic about the development in the front of the policy with respect to EV. Therefore, we are not building the EV (infrastructure) load for today. We are trying to make sure we are building in all the strategic button points for B2B and B2B.

According to Manglani, ATGL incurred a capex of ₹ 900 -od Crore Nore, prosecutor 2024-25 and is expected to invest a similar amount of amount in the ongoing financial year.
