The Who drummer Zak Starkey breaks silence after he’s kicked out of band after almost 30 years

Drummer Zak Starkey said he is “surprised and sad” in his first comments since he was expelled from the rock band of the Fame The Who.

“I am very proud of my nearby years with the WHO. Filling my godfather’s shoes, ‘Uncle Keith’ has been the greatest honor and I am still his greatest admirer,” Starkey wrote, referring to the original drummer of the band, The Moon Moon, who died. Deceased.

“They have a family like a family. In January, I suffered a severe medical emergency with blood clots on my right calf. This is now complete cured and does not affect my drums or running. After playing with the band for the band I would have a problem with my performance that night, but what can you do?”

The 59 -year -old drummer, son of the Beatles drummer, Ringo Starr, said he plans to take a very necessary “free time” to pass with his family.

Starkey also said he plans to concentrate on launching a new album with his other band, mantra of the cosmos, with Noel Gallagher of Oasis and finish writing his autobiography.

The WHO leader Roger Daltrey, 81, and guitarist Pete Townshend, 79, ended things with Starkey after two shows in March in Royal Albert Hall in the United Kingdom.

Daltrey raised some “problems” with the duration of Starkey in the shows of March 27 and 30 of the band to raise money for the beneficial organization of the singer, Teenage Cancer Trust.

According to the reports, Daltrey was bothered that the drummer was “exaggerating” the duration of the band’s concerts, according to the Metro.

Starkey had been the full -time drummer since 1996 when he was presented to fans who lasted his tour of Quadrophenia.

He acted with the band in some of his most nocturnal shows in recent years, including the 2012 London Olympic Games and the Super Bowl 2010.

The Beatles drummer’s son also joined another iconic British band, Oasis, in 2004 after his drummer Alan White left the group and acted with them until they separated in 2009.

However, it is rumored that Starkey will meet with the duration of Oasis in the next meeting tour, which begins in July in the United Kingdom, according to the mirror.

Liam and Noel Gallagher will begin the US stage of their “Live ’25” tour with stadium shows in the United States, Canada and Mexico on August 24.

That includes a mass concert at East Rutherford, the NJ Metlife stadium on Sunday, August 31, and presents the special guest cage The Elephant.
