Broaden Schneider was closed by the Rangers for the last two games of the 2024-25 campaign because an injury at the top of the body that the 23-year-old defender has appeared this season.

Once the blues shirts were officers of the Playoffs content last weekend in Carolina, the organization wanted Schneider to begin the recovery process.

It is expected to be ready for the beginning of the next season, by a source.

“It was good, he is a warrior,” said coach in Chief Peter Laviolette about the Schneider season. “Play hard for us all the time. We will get more about that once the season ends, but it has done a good job for us.”

In its fourth season with the Rangers, Schneider ended up with maximum career in goals (6), assists (15) and points (21) to 80 games.

He skated with six different defensive partners during the season, which is not out of the ordinary for Schneider, who has played with a surplus of players such as spraying his debut on January 13, 2022.

Schneider opened the season on paper among the four best along with former Captain Jacob Trouba during the first seven games, with Ryan Lindgren in the injured reserve. He bounced during the majority of the season, at the beginning, spending most of the time in the background pairing of the Rangers.

Hey, they also saw minutes next to Zac Jones, K’andre Miller, will guarantee, Urho frequently and Victor Mancini.

As one of the five defenders, and only one of the two usual clients (Adam Fox) who are signed until next season at this time, Schneider should be online for a legitimate injection in a higher role.

It will establish the extension of two years and $ 4.4 million that signed with the Rangers on July 13, 2024.

The last two games of the season were always going to be a formality after the Rangers were eliminated from the playoff dispute with the 7-3 defeat on Saturday against hurricanes.

When asked what they had to play in the final games, Vincent Trophack was blunt.

“Pride,” said stoically.

That was Monday night in Florida with a 5-3 victory over the Panthers team that ended the Rangers season last year on the way to win the Stanley Cup.

It was the first opportunity for the Rangers to experience and give certain rookies a real aspect in preparation for the next season.

Without Schneider, Matthew Robertson was able to make his NHL debut six years after the Rangers wrote it 49º in general. Brennan Othmann and Gabe Perreault were also reinserted in the alignment and in the first six, as well as the restricted free agent Jones instead of Aftersananen.

The only rookie on the list that was in the alignment was Brett Berard, who was a healthy scratch for the fourth time in the previous 11 games.

Matt Rempe was a prominent after publishing a two -point effort in Monday’s victory, which is that the growth of the whole season was on display.

“Huge, enormous growth for REP,” said Laviolette. “He is attacking the ice now with the disc. From our end, he is receiving it with a little speed under him before the blue line. He is attacking the neutral area, he goes to the network, he is making the plays turn through

“Growth has been visible to everyone, not only for me, but everyone sees it to play.”

It will be interesting to see if the rangers go with the five rookies in the final of the Thorsday season in the garden.

For Othmann, which was a healthy scratch for two games before playing Monday in Florida, there is one thing at the top of the list that would like to get out of it.

“First goal,” he said with a smile, referring to the fact that he has not yet scored in his first 21 NHL games. “You have a game to do that and you have to wait three or four months. That is just a personal goal, but as Tro said that Eather’s night, we will only play the last game with pride. We will be and it will be a long summer, I think many of them still enjoy the moment and enjoy the thesis the last days together.

“Obviously, we want to win against Tampa Bay on Thursday, and for me, I would love to see if I can get one in the final game.”
