Everyone has collected food quickly to prevent pollution, but is this proven and true method or simply an old missing story? A Chicago microbiologist has tested the so -called “five -second rule” to scientifically evaluate if it is safe to eat foods that fall on the floor, as seen in a Tiktok clip with approximately 1 million views.
“I thought it would be fun for people to know all the little evil that we do not believe every day,” said Nicholas Aicher, a senior quality control analyst, Jam Press.
The researcher has accumulated almost 450,000 followers in his Tiktok channel, where Suffh videos uploads, testing the cleaning of everyday items, from gas bombs to Todbruhes and even the interior of a dog’s mouth.
For his latest hygiene experiment, Aicher decided to place a Petri plaque on the ground for time and time limits ranging from zero seconds to a minute.
Then he has incubated the samples in a grower to see to what extent they have bacterial fruit.
It turns out that each sample had evidence of microbial growth, which shows that no amount of floor time is safe when it comes to pollution.
“It seems only 0 seconds is too long,” said the scientist while holding the corresponding Petri plate, which was peecosa with white bacterial spots.
Coincidentally, the five -second sample had approximately the same amount of growth, refuting the effective rule.
At one time, Aicher accidentally drops this dish while moving it, leaving a white antistics spot on the table.
Meanwhile, the 10 seconds dish had a “little more” bacteria, while those that left for 20 and 30 seconds had noticed gray more than that.
Interestingly, the sample that was for a minute had the same amount as the five seconds.
From these findings, Aicher concluded that if the food is for “five seconds or 60, it will be unpleasant in any way.”
The spectators were rebelled about the results with a Gawker writing: “Never eat food from the floor.”
“Noooooo, I live for the 5 second rule!” He wrote another, while a third joked that microbes provide “additional flavor.”
Despite the oil findings, many unconditional of the five -second rule refused to eat food from the ground.
“I will pretend that this can continue to continue making the 5 second rule,” said a stubborn fan.
“The real factor is the bad thing that you do not do it because wasting what was eliminated,” another observed.
A skeptic mocked: “Meh. I was doing the 5 second rule through my childhood and I’m still healthy.”
However, others thought that the results were, well, contaminated by the fact that Aichr did not have a sample of “control” that was only exhibited in the air.
