Oprah Winfrey cries watching Gayle King on Blue Origin space mission

Oprah Winfrey is very proud of her best friend.

The 71 -year -old billionaire cried when his BFF Gayle King took off the space on the mission of Origin de Blue on Monday morning along with five others, including Katy Perry and Jeff Bezos’s’s Fianancee, Lauren Sánchez.

Winfrey was on the scene on the launch site in western Texas and told a journalist live broadcast duration that Shey Yellow because King, 70 is “Sunshine.”

Winfrey explained that he felt “so quiet” before takeoff, since the journalist asked Winfrey’s version that King was openly “scared” for the space flight.

“For every woman on this flight, it’s about fulfilling something within themselves,” Winfrey said. “For Gayle, it’s about doing so well and also entering at the time of emotion. It goes beyond this moment to go to space. I think this will be an eternal experience.”

Before the new Rocket Shepard took off, King seemed nervous when he arrived west Texas for the flight.

King, Perry, 40, and Sánchez, 55, joined the former Nasa Bowe rocket scientist, the civil rights activist Amanda Nguyen and film producer Kerianne Flynn for Monday’s flight.

The group, which used matching blue space suits, enjoyed a few minutes in space before returning to Earth as part of the 11 -minute space tourism flight.

Both King and Perry kissed the ground when they returned to Earth.

“My God, that was incredible,” King said with a great sigh of relief.

King also told a journalist after the flight: “It’s strangely quiet when you get there. It’s quiet and peaceful. You look at the planet and think:” Are we going from there? “For me it is a reminder about how we should do better, it is better.”
