‘The Last of Us’ Season 2 Stays Woke: Ellie Kisses Dina, Joel Shoves a Homophobic Hater

HBOS The last of us It is a show about many things. It is about fungal zombies and fight against fascism. It is about processing the complaint and overcoming trauma. These are parents and their daughters, the spouses lovers of Linda Ronstadt and, yes, the girls kissing.

** Spoilers of The last of us Season 2 Episode 1, now transmitting in Max **

The last of us Episode 1 of season 2 ends with the heroine Ellie (Bella Ramsey) of nineteen years sharing a kiss of the New Year’s Eve of fainting with her best friend Dina (Isabela Merced) in front of the entire Jackson, Wyoming. The HBO program not only gives Ellie a new love interest this season, but states that it is not brass with homophobes. Ellie and Dina’s kiss is followed with the Badss Joel (Pedro Pascal) series pushing the fan who tries to intention her m of Yum. The last of us He will stay awake, friends!

The last of us Season 2 is an adaptation of the 2020 superpular video game, The last of us II. That game deals with the consequences of the events in the first video game, where after fighting a post-apocalyptic zombie moor to deliver immune immune to the fireflies in Salt Lake City, Joel proceeded to Socker Dy Dom Firefly Cure. The new season of the HBO program presents us to Abby (Kaitlyn Dever), one of the playable characters in the sequel game, who is dead to kill Joel for killing his father in Salt Lake City.

But like who cares about that gloomy plot of revenge when The last of us Are season 2 also present Dina? Dina is fun, guys! This show really needed Dina!

The last of us Season 2 takes place five years after season 1. Ellie is now a 19 -year -old rebel who is in love with the best friend Dina. It is difficult not to appreciate why Ellie would be afflicting her (apparently) heterosexual friend. Dina is effervescent and beautiful, brave and brave. She is as able to hunt infected as Ellie and Haplily makes jokes while doing so. Just Joel explains to the Gail therapist (Catherine O’Hara) that Dina is so pleasant and charming to be close. Dina governs.

Dina is also in an internal romantic relationship with the young local leader Jesse (Young Mazin) who is decidedly off On the eve of the New Year. Then Dina gets drunk and dances with other Jackson boys so that Jesse can see what is being lost. However, what may or may not realize is that Ellie is also looking.

Later at night, Dina pull Ellie to the dance floor. As the conversation becomes more and more flirtatious, Ellie opens the joy of being romantically sustained by her friend. Dina kisses Ellie, but the moment is soon trampled by a drunk resident of Jackson named Seth (Robert John Burke). He calls the girls the word D, which caused an overprotector Joel to cause a scene.

Now Ellie seems angry with Joel, but I think she was right. Dina and Ellie were not doing anything that was consulted immoderate if they were a heterosexual couple. The double standard that Seth attributes not only disgusting, but stupid in a world where humanity is doing everything possible to survive. A community like Jackson only works if those accompanied can be passed and citizens can live and let live.

Besides, The last of us He is affirming that despite the critics who found the first season “Awaken”, they will not be cow in front of criticism. Oh, did you not like that the prominent episode of the first season was a tender and tragic love story between two men? Too much! Ellie has already established a leg as a strange character and will continue to be one. Do you want only zombie hunting and crushing of the skull? You will have to deal with whatever it is slow between Ellie and Dina to get it.

Indeed, The last of us The premiere of season 2 leaves us with some key mysteries for the rest of the season to resolve. What is the deal with the new type of infected, the “stalkers”, who are able to use logic and strategy? What is happening with the fungus that grows in Jackson’s pipes? Abby and his cohorts will really kill Joel in the next week? (They definitely reach a distance of hiking of Jackson at the end of the episode!)

The most important thing, he thought, also like Dina Ellie?!? We will only have to tune in The last of us Season 2 Episode 2 next Sunday to find out.
