Iowa man convicted in catcalling murder of Nikki Loffredo

An Iowa man faces life in prison after he was sentenced by the prize for a random mother when she refused to “get” and told her to “be frequent” when he made her crawl on the street.

James Bernard Johnson, 43, was declared guilty of first -degree murder on Wednesday by the 2024 murder of Nikki Lofredo, 42, whom he saw on the sidewalk just before 4 am on July 27 and took off his car to be partying with him.

“Who are you? It doesn’t matter, F – K off,” Loffredo, a cantinero, responded to Johnson as he passed and learned through the window of his GMC SUV, chordination to the office of the Polk County Prosecutor.

Johnson said he felt “missed” by Loffredo’s comments, so he pointed out a gun through the window and took four shots before accelerating.

Loffredo was walking along a quiet residential street outside a high school when he was shot.

Johnson said he had only fired the weapon on the floor and the wheel only to scare Loffredo, but she was fatally injured and died two days later.

He had seen Loffredo walk earlier in the day and decided to approach here later when he met her again. The couple had no prior connection at all, according to prosecutors.

Johnson was arrested on August 2, and the researchers discovered texts between him and his girlfriend, where he admitted that he had “appeared” someone before.

Johnson had his leg in the cocaine and marijuana leg on the day of the shooting, although it is not clear if he was innovated when he pressed the trigger.

He has previous convictions for drug crimes.

The jurors deliberated for only hours after their one -week judgment.

Will be sentenced on June 20.

Loffredo’s family described her as “same girl and compassionate, and was always willing to help anyone who needs it.”

“He loved to spoil his nephews and take them to the cinema and Chuck E. Cheese,” according to his obitary.
