On Friday, the executive producers of the program, Megan Ganz, David Hornsby and Rob Mcelhenney, announced that the series would not return for a fifth season, but that would be a last surprise for fans. Apple TV+ has given the program the green light to launch a reissued version of the final of season 4, which will fall on the transmission platform in mid -April.
In a statement, the creators thanked fans and Apple TV+ for half a decade of laughs and promised the closure in what will now become their series end. The previous version of the final of season 4 ended with a Cliffhanger kiss between Poppy co-leader of MQ (Charlotte Nicdao) and Ian (Mcelhenney), some four seasons in creation. It is not clear how the new version will end.
“The endings are difficult. But after four incredible seasons,” Mythic Quest “is coming to an end,” said Ganz, Hornsby and Mcelhenney in a joint statement. “We are very proud of the show and the world that we have to build, and deeply grateful to each cast member and the crew that his heart threw. To all our fans, thanks for playing with us.”
The trio continued: “To our partners in Apple, thanks for believing in the vision from the beginning. Because the finals are difficult, with Apple’s blessing, we made a final update to our last episode, so that we can say goodbye, instead of just one game.”
When Decider sat with Nicdao in March to discuss the final of Season 4, he indicated that they had fired the last two versions of Poppy and the end of Ian, one of which ended with the amazing kiss in pairs. It is to unite if the uninterrupted footage will be part of the final of the newly edited series.
