Hotel guest furious after paying for ‘sea view’ room she didn’t get

She booked a room with a view, and got a concrete limp on her face.

British mother Kim Anthrobus says that the trip of her girls to Portugal was “ruined” after paying more for a view of the majestic Atlantic Ocean, just to find themselves looking directly at a couple or monotonous apartment buildings.

Anthrobus, 43, and her friend Louise Edlin disbursed $ 500 for something called “Vista to the Sea” in Costa Da Caparica last month.

But instead of a sweeping view, she states that they were received with a gloomy urban scene that, she said, looked more like “Beirut or in the center of the city of London.”

“My friend had to get on the balcony, he leaned down and said ‘you can see almost see [the sea]”Anthrobus told Kennedy News.

She continued, remembering: “I could see myself. I have a slippery album and in no way can I lean so far to see it.”

Loveholidays, the online travel agency through which the trip was reserved, reported that the couple had He received a view of the sea, although one that required some acrobatics to take a look.

The duo ended up forking more money to update to a better room.

Anthrobus, who works in marketing and is the mother of four children, criticized the original list as “misleading.”

“For me that was a sea sight,” he said. “It just seemed that we were on vacation by the sea. It wasn’t the opinion I expected.”

“It was a beautiful hotel, just a shocking side sea view,” he added. “We changed the rooms immediately, I wasn’t staying in that room.”

Love Holidays sacrificed a partial refund, but also passed the money to the hotel.

“While each hotel classifies its room differently, we understand the disappointment of Mrs. Anthrobus, and as a gesture of goodwill, we have offered an additional eur 30 reimbursement that paid a sea room to the sea,” the company said in a statement.

Even so, the experience left a bad taste.

“It was a nightmare to contact Loveholidays. He ruined my vacation,” Anthrobus said.

She emphasized: “I won, I reserved with them again now. I would say to other people to stay clear.”
