India has launched air attacks against nine sites in Pakistan, taking the two neighbors of nuclear remote in open military conflicts about the deadly militant attack last month against tourists in Kashmir administered by India.

India said he had carried out “precision strikes” on “terrorist infrastructure” in what seemed to be the most extensive military attack against his neighbor in decades.

While the Indian Ministry of Defense was not specific to the locations of the strikes, he said he was “hitting the terrorist infrastructure” in Pakistan and the part of the contemporary region of Kashmir that administers Pakistan. Both countries claim Kashmir and each controls part of the region.

The Ministry added that “the Pakistani military facilities have not been directed” in its first attack against its neighbor since 2019 and said that the attacks of India were “of centered, measured and not climbing nature.”

Ani, an Indian news agency near the country’s government, said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had constantly monitored the operation during the night, and that the attacks in the nine objectives had been “successful.”

Pakistan’s prime minister, Shehbaz Sharif, described India as an “act of war” and said on the social media platform X that his country had “all rights of the right thing.

Pakistan’s military spokesman said India had launched 24 strikes in six areas throughout the country. At least eight people, including five civilians, had been killed and 35 people had been killed, said, added that two age and 16 -year -olds were among the dead.

Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, the spokesman, also told Reuters on Wednesday morning that Pakistan knocked down five Indian combat aircraft, including three French-manufacturing raffles, a SU-30 made in Russian and a Russian mig-29. The PTV state station reported that the Pakistani artillery was shooting towards Cashmiro managed by India.

The conflict between the two neighbors reached a month of boiling after armed men killed 25 Indians and a Nepali citizen in Pahalgam, a tourist place in Kashmiro administered by India. Modi responded by promising “finding, tracking and punishing all the terrorists” responsible for the attack, which shocked and enraged the Indians.

Police in Kashmira have said that they made three men, including two Pakistani citizens, in relation to the attack, and linked them to Lashkar-E-Taiba, the group responsible for the terrorist attacks of Mumbai inack and the HASED HAEDED has to have an independent investigation.

In response to Pahalgam’s attack, India suspended a key treaty under what shares water with Pakistan in the Indo River basin, and the two countries sharply reduced their relations, closing the airspace and ports, suspending trade and closing their lands.

India has called Wednesday’s attack against Pakistan’s “Sndoor Operation”, a reference to the red brand that Hindu women use in the hair, the traditional Hindu symbol of marriage. A photo of a honeymoon couple attacked in Pahalgam, with the wife knelt by her husband’s body, was widely shared in India after the attack.

The Indians were preparing for a probable Pakistani military response. On Tuesday, before night attacks, the Ministry of Interior of India ordered a simulation of simulation nationwide for emergency preparation and civil defense.

“There will be reprisals of a child by Pakistan in the next few hours,” said C Raja Mohan, an Indian international affairs analyst. “Meanwhile, there is diplomacy behind the scene and the United States will be inolitated at some level.”

Washington, who has close links with India and Pakistan, has urged Urint. The president of the United States, Donald Trump, described the strikes “a grief” and said he hoped that the conflict “ends very soon.”
