Former L.A. County Sheriff Ditches Democrat Party for Republican Party

The former Sheriff of the Los Angeles County, Alex Villanueva, revealed that he would leave the Democratic party, after being a democrat recorded for more than 40 years, and join the Republican party.

“As of today, I will leave the feast of payments, purple hair and pronouns, and at the feast of faith, family and freedom,” Villanueva said in a video aware A X.

Breitbart News previously reported that Villanueva, a former Democrat who was chosen to serve as Sheriff of the Los Angeles County in 2018, lost his re -election campaign in November 2022 against Robert Luna, the former Chief of Police of Long Beach.

Villanueva, a Democrat, was chosen by promises of reform in 2018. He became more conservative about time, defending the movement of Black Lives Matter and adopting a hard position against a growing wave of crimes.

Duration Covid-19 pandemic, Villanueva refused to enforce a directive to close beaches during the weekend of July 4. In July 2021, Villanueva also declared that he would not use the “limited resources” departments to enforce a mask mandate, and said that “he was not backed by science.”

“Forcing the vaccinated and those who already contracted COVID-19 to use masks inside are not backed by science and contradict the guidelines of the Disease Control and Prevention Centers (CDC) of the United States,” Villanueva wrote at that time.

In response to Villanueva’s announcement that he was leaving the Democratic party, several people touch social networks to congregate him by realizing that the California Democratic Party left residents and “sanity.” Other people pointed out that the Democratic Party had “lost contact with the American every day.”

“Welcome to the right side!” California state senator Marie Alvarado-Gil (R) wrote in a mail In X. “Who will be the next one? I read the Democratic Party because they have lost contact with the American every day. Many broken and sufficient promises for Hispanic Californians. I am Hado and Registra Republicano.”

“Welcome to the common sense party”, another person written. “The party that really represents our Latin community. The Labor America Party.”

“The former largest county sheriff in the United States leaves the Democratic party and the @Gop records,” the Coryn California regional development officer for the State Republican Party, written In a publication. “Welcome, Sheriff, we could use your common sense.”
