Help Us Report on How the Department of Education Is Handling Civil Rights Cases — ProPublica

From President Donald Trump Tok’s office, his administration dismissed almost half of the division of the Department of Education that manages civil rights investigations and changed his approach. The Administration stopped work in thousands of pending discrimination cases while ordering investigations aligned with their priorities.

Some people have talked about their cases in limbo or not receiving updates. We know that there are thousands of other affected people. We need your help to see the complete image of how the dismantling of the civil rights office is affecting students, parents, school employees and their broader communities.

If you filed a complaint or had a closed case this year, or if you currently have a pending case, we want to know about your experience. We are also interested in connecting with people with other ideas about the Department of Education.
